6 Minor Assam Girls, Trafficked Across 4 States, Rescued By Cops
Something like six minor young ladies from Assam have been saved from the grip of human dealers in different pieces of the country, a senior cop said.
Karbi Anglong, Extra Director of Police (ASP), Kangkan Kumar Nath said they were saved during the most recent 10 days, in the wake of getting grumblings at many police headquarters in the locale.
"The principal FIR was enrolled at Diphu police headquarters on December 8. Following up on it, we safeguarded a 16-year-old young lady from Fatehabad in Haryana and furthermore captured one human dealer," he said on Sunday.
From that point forward, four FIRs were held up in Bokajan police headquarters, which quickly sent off an activity to safeguard the young ladies, Mr Nath said.
"We protected two young ladies from Bokajan rail line station, and one each from Dimapur rail route station in Nagaland and Tinsukia," he said.
The ASP said an additional 14-year-old young lady was safeguarded from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan.
"Subsequent to enlisting the FIR at Bakalia police headquarters on December 10, we discovered that the minor was sold with the end goal of marriage with a 33-year-elderly person in Jhunjhunu for ₹ 1.5 lakh," he said.
A group of Karbi Anglong Police went to Rajasthan, and with help from Rajasthan Police and different organizations, she was safeguarded.
Two people, including a lady, have been captured, Mr Nath added.
