India Hijab row: All India Muslim Personal Law Board moves SC against Karnataka HC verdict

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board moved the Supreme Court on Monday testing the Karnataka High Court's decision restricting wearing of Hijabs in instructive foundations.

Referring to it as "mistaken", the Board, in its appeal said that the move will "lead to oppression Muslims overall and Muslim young ladies specifically whose right to training will likewise be denied". The request, while talking about the Hijab, added: "… there is agreement among strict researchers of all ways of thinking in particular Hanafi, Maliki, Shafai and Hambli that it is 'wajib' (required), a bunch of commitments, which on the off chance that not followed, he/she will submit "sin" or become a "delinquent"."

On March 15, a full seat of the Karnataka High Court had excused a bunch of petitions recorded by Muslim young ladies concentrating in pre-college universities in Udupi looking for the option to wear hijabs in homerooms. The HC decided that wearing the hijab "doesn't make up a fundamental strict practice in the Islamic confidence" and opportunity of religion under Article 25 of the Constitution is dependent upon sensible limitations.
